Let's Battle Plastic Together

At its core, you’ll discover that Tru Earth, is actually a movement (#TruEarthMovement). The Tru Earth team joins millions of equally committed people in more than 82 countries to combat the 645 billion plastic household product containers dumped in landfills and oceans globally each year. For every 32 laundry eco-strips purchased from Tru Earth, one plastic container is prevented from entering landfills and oceans. As we often say here at Tru Earth, many small hinges can swing this very very big door. Thanks for joining us in our current battle to eradicate plastic.

Your Purchase Helps People

Our donation program started as an initiative due to COVID-19 when household supplies were hard to find and aid organizations were struggling to ensure everyone had clean clothes. We saw this as a call for help and jumped into action. We have reached more than 800+ organizations including food banks who are stretched to their limits, maternity programs in the global south, local women's shelters & non-profits across Canada and the United States. We would not be able to have such an enormous impact without the help of our customers, the #TruChangeMakers. For every subscription purchase, 32 loads are donated to an organization in our communities in need across the globe..

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging at Tru Earth

DEIB Statement

At Tru Earth, we strive to make the world a better place through our commitment to the planet’s well-being with our environmentally conscious products and our commitment to our employees and community. We are proud to be an organization that promotes equity and respects differences in our social identities such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, language, nationality, health, abilities/disabilities, religion/spirituality, culture, age, and socioeconomic status. In order to make the lasting change we value at Tru Earth; we believe people are not separate from the environment and we must work to protect both simultaneously. We value creating a space to celebrate our differences, learn from one another, and honour our varying experiences. We consistently strive to learn with open minds, to reflect on our own positions within the current systems, and to create intentional change to build a more equitable world. Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are foundational elements for creating true, lasting change to help save the planet.

#ChangeMaker Stories

Tru Earth has donated an incredible 3 million laundry strips to Daily Bread Food Bank since November 2020. We are so thankful that we can distribute this necessity to our 128 member agencies across Toronto.

Hunger is not a food issue, it’s a poverty issue. After paying for housing, Toronto food bank clients have a median of $8.01 left per person per day to spend on all other needed items, including food and transportation. That is why we are so grateful to Tru Earth. By providing millions of strips to food bank clients, they are lightening the financial load for tens of thousands of individuals and families across the city. Thank you so much for your help in not only fighting landfill waste, but also fighting poverty!”
